Brotherly Love - Wedding

We celebrated the marriage of my brother to his beautiful wife, Megan, on October 17, 2015. We had a wonderful weekend in  Mobile celebrating such a joyous occasion! Exhaustion after all of the fun events would be an understatement but it was all worth it! We love this couple dearly and can't wait to visit with them soon! It's going to be really hard this year not having my brother help me decorate for the holidays...that was always my favorite tradition with him.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a wonderful time going to the Jack-O-Lane's Pumpkin Patch in Lafayette with our sweet friends, The Carlisle Family. We went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on October 11, 2015. Sophie had a blast running through the Pumpkin Patch while her daddy picked out our pumpkins and mommy chased her around the field. We also got to experience a "choo choo" train ride and a petting farm. Sophie loved the train but could have cared less about petting the animals. She also enjoyed the hayride to and from the pumpkin patch and homemade ice cream as we waited in line for tickets.

Chelsey's Wedding

Blake's sister was married this past May. Blake, Sophie, and I were all in the wedding. We loved every minute! Sophie was a trooper and she partied all night. She hung in there all day with hair, make up, pictures, the ceremony, and then the reception. She had a blast and all on a thirty minute nap. :)

She did great walking down the aisle with me at rehearsal dinner, but the wedding is another story. We take about ten steps down the aisle, she turned to me, handed me her flower ball, and said, "No, no, no." and just stopped. I guess I would too if I had about 200 eyes staring at me and smiling. Being the first ones down the aisle, I just picked her up and we continued on down, and we definitely broke the silence of the audience.

Chelsey was an absolute stunning bride and her bridesmaids were spectacular! We had a blast spending time together with friends and family from all over the world. It was a joyous celebration! We love Uncle Ty Ty and so blessed to have him join the family!!

Yep, I've got my hands full...full of love! :) 

Swim Swim

We spent our first two weeks in June doing swimming lessons at Auburn Aquatics. Sophie loved them this year! We had a full class and she got to have most of her friends join her. Her favorite parts were the singing, catching the balls, and leaning off of the side as if she was "jumping in." She slowly got use to the kick board and loved it the last two days of class and she's still not a fan of floating on her stomach or her back. We had a blast!

Sweet Summer Time

Sophie turned 17 months yesterday! Time please slow quickly down! She's literally into everything! If I'm going from room to room cleaning or putting something away, she stays right there with me and I love it. She can find pretty much anything in any room to entertain herself. She is such a joyful, observant, babbling sweetheart! I love watching her imaginative play. We have had such a fun and busy summer together. I'm soaking up all this time with her. Here are just a few exciting things Sophie loves to do currently.

She loves to play outside and blow bubbles. She loves to swim in her little blue pool and yell for Augie to come inside. She goes, "Augie, come on!" It is too precious! She even helps mommy crate the dogs before we leave to go somewhere.

She loves to climb in and out of the laundry basket with her baby Sophia or other baby. She's a climber! 

She cracks me up during dinner preparation because she helps mommy by taking out bowls and spatulas and "cooks."

She loves to carry purses, buckets, etc. around the house and outside. She LOVES to put items into her purse, bucket, etc. and take them out. She will carry her baby or stuffed animal around by the neck, along with a purse or even a ball. She helps mommy clean the floors too. :) 

She also loves to sit in her chair or on steps. She likes to sit anywhere she can squat down to.

As you can see, we are really enjoying our summer together! We especially love it on days when daddy isn't working and he gets to enjoy all the fun activities with us! We will share more of our summer adventures...
